Jo Chaturvedi-Durant is a private market and VC investor with over 16 years' experience in the global investment management industry across the Asia Pacific and North America. Her experience includes global investment managers like Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan, VU Venture Partners. She invests in alternative asset classes across stages, geographies and sectors with a focus on deep-tech opportunities where frontier technologies meet impact and is on the investment committees for impact funds and university venture funds.
Jo's academic background is international business law, business management and economics along with certifications and industry accreditations across governance, capital markets and alternative asset classes. She has authored thought pieces on macro and behavioral economics, retirement investing, asset allocation trends and impact of innovative technologies on the economy. She has experience with executive and non-executive board roles, investing in and supporting portfolio companies across sectors like biotech, space, agtech, defence and next gen AI as well as advising founders, accelerators, governments and not for profit organisations.
Jo is the VC in Residence at University of Adelaide's ThincLab where she mentors founders on business models, go-to-market strategies across US and Asia, governance and capital strategies.
